15 Milestones That Shaped UBLC’s Journey

From its first enrollment site to hosting national and international events, UBLC continues to grow stronger. These 15 milestones highlight the journey that shaped the University of Batangas Lipa City.

The University of Batangas Lipa City 15th Anniversary kicked off with a proud celebration of two major milestones: 15 years of the Lipa campus and the 80th year of the University of Batangas. The festivities began as the community gathered for a Eucharistic Celebration, followed by a spirited Legacy Walk. The program then continued with inspiring opening remarks that set the tone for this historic event.

Next, the celebration moved to the college exhibits, the UBLC Alumni Exhibition Game, Palarong Pinoy, and the Amazing Mind Race. Consequently, because of these activities, the campus felt alive and joyful. Furthermore, the event gave everyone a chance to reflect on the journey of the University.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners came together not just to celebrate the years. More importantly, they celebrated shared memories and achievements. As a result, the campus was filled with pride, gratitude, and hope. Clearly, this milestone showed how much UBLC has grown and how much more it can achieve.

From Vision to Reality

During the program, Mr. Alex A. Ramos, Senior Vice President of the University, shared a heartfelt message. He explained how the vision for UBLC started years ago.

“In 2008, the University already planned to serve students in Lipa. Soon after, in 2011, it leased a small space for enrollment and inquiries. By 2011, classes officially began in Building A. Today, the community still gathers in that same building to celebrate its growth.”

Through this story, everyone saw how a simple plan became a strong campus. What started small slowly became a center for excellence and community engagement. for this reason, the dedication and faith, UBLC continues to move forward with confidence.

The Beginning of a Dream

UBLC Groundbreaking Ceremony – This marked the official start of building the University of Batangas Lipa City campus and turning vision into reality.
UBLC Construction – The construction phase of the first building of UBLC showed the steady progress of transforming plans into a learning space for future students.
First UB Marketing Initiative at SM City Lipa – UB reached out to the Lipeños for the first time at SM City Lipa to welcome and inspire future UBians.
Blessing of the UBLC Satellite Office – The blessing of the satellite office symbolized hope, growth, and the start of stronger community presence.

Building Campus Life and Identity

First UBLC Open House Activity – The first Open House welcomed aspiring UBians to experience campus life and explore academic opportunities.
Launch of Tatak Brahman Orientation – This orientation introduced new students to the values, culture, and spirit of being a true blooded UBian.
First College Interprogram Celebration – The first interprogram celebration united different colleges and strengthened camaraderie among students.

Pioneer Batch of UBLC College Graduation – The first college graduation honored the pioneer students who completed their journey and carried the UBLC name with pride.
First UBLC Graduate Awarded the Founder’s Memorial Award – Ms. Charmaine Mae Estrada–Plata received the Founder Pablo C. Umali Memorial Award for Student Assistance Service, highlighting academic excellence and setting a high standard for future graduates.
First President’s Cup in UBLC – The first President’s Cup encouraged sportsmanship, teamwork, and school pride within the campus.
Pioneer Batch of UBLC High School Commencement Exercise – This milestone celebrated the first group of high school students who completed their academic journey at UBLC.
